After a year waiting a home I finally decided to go sailing again. It is getting harder and harder to find time between projects to get away. I do 3 projects parallel but finally managed to organize a break into all of them.
It took us a day in Punta Ala (the wintering harbor) to get the crane lifting the Glatisant from its dry dock into the water. We left immediately as we did not want to pay for the day. Just filled up the watertank

and bought some diesel, and we were off, sailing towards the island of Elba.
By 5 in the afternoon we dropped the anchor in Porto Ferraio, a well protected superb anchorage on the northern side of the island.
We plan to anchor here for a few days to arrange all preparations: installing a new depth sounder, modification to the engine throttle, bow roller installation, testing the new inflatable tender, testing the HF radio.
This bay and the anchorage is perfect, I love it a lot. I love to be at the sea again...

Greetings, Visitor!

This is a sailing blog. My name is Máté, I am a Hungarian sailor. Since 2006, as my time and money allows, I engage in cruising adventures on the waters of Europe, with my small boat, the Glatisant. This site is about these journeys.
I hope You will enjoy looking around on my website.
